Knighthawks back on radio
January 2 2007(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Knighthawks announced today that 11 of the team's 16 games will be broadcast during the 2007 National Lacrosse League season. Through agreements with WYSL 1040-AM (wysl1040.com) and Hot Talk 1280 WHTK (whtk.com), Knighthawks games will again be carried on local radio and on the Internet. Last season, the games were only available on B2 Networks.
WYSL 1040-AM will air eight live games and WHTK will provide coverage of three games in either a live or tape-delayed format. The remaining five games will be carried exclusively on B2 Networks. Broadcaster Craig Rybczynski and color analyst Bill Meagher will bring fans all the action for a sixth straight season.
The Rochester Knighthawks will open their 13th season of professional lacrosse on Saturday, December 30th against the defending National Lacrosse League champion Colorado Mammoth. Game time is set for 9:00 p.m. at the Pepsi Center. The contest will be broadcast on Hot Talk 1280 WHTK immediately following the Rochester Americans-Chicago Wolves American Hockey League game.
Rochester plays its home opener on Saturday, January 13th against the Toronto Rock at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial. That game will be featured live on B2 Networks. The Knighthawks return to action after making their 12th playoff appearance in the team's 12-year history. Last season, Rochester finished with a 9-7 record and advanced to the East Division Finals.
